In the second part of our special two-part episode, we are joined once more by professional and executive coach, Megan Walls. Megan helps us delve further into the THINK Protocol, a step-by-step process to guide you when making significant decisions about career changes or pivots.
Key Points:
- The THINK Protocol: In part one, we covered the T (Taking time to reflect), H (Honesty, being real with yourself), and I (Information gathering and insights). In this episode, we dive into N, which stands for Niche.
- Niche and personal brand: Megan emphasizes the importance of finding your unique niche and building your personal brand when considering creating your own practice. The niche includes your area of expertise, target audience, unique products or services, and how you set yourself apart from the competition.
- Crafting your brand: Megan shares advice on how to craft a brand statement based on the clarity and information gained from the THINK Protocol. She references Jeff Bezos's quote about personal brands, underscoring the importance of crafting your own brand rather than letting others define it for you.
- Knowledge: Understand the importance of gathering insights into why you think the way you do. Acknowledge that gaining knowledge about your thought patterns and the resultant emotional responses can provide you with the necessary tools to transform your life.
- Take Action: Leverage the insight you've gained from the THINK protocol and actively make changes in your life. It is not enough to merely understand your thought patterns (THINK); you also need to implement these insights (Take Action) to see real, sustainable transformation.
Listen in to Part Two now and get ready to THINK and Take Action on your career pivot!
